Aims & Objectives:
By the end of the course the individual will be able to

- Examine why head hunting offers an alternative to conventional recruitment in the sourcing and identification of quality candidates
- Why head hunted candidates are different and how we approach them in a candidate short market
- Recognise the qualities and role of a successful Headhunter
- Gain a good understanding of both the candidate and the client consultation processes
- Understand and choose the right offering for the right role

The Recruitment Market
- Examines Executive Search within the context of the wider recruitment market
- Discusses the differences between the Contingency Market and the Retained Market
The Product and the People
- Explores the Product that is Retained Executive Search
- Looks at the table of recruitment methods and Executive Search assignment time frame
- Discusses the people attracted to Search and why they succeed there
- Discusses the Search Firm and who works where and what they do
The Main Processes
- Covers how and why it works using a case study as an example of the complete process including areas such as marketing, contract negotiation, the proposal,
position specification, research and candidate presentation, offer, acceptance and beyond

Recruitment Consultants who are considering moving into the retained environment, or researchers who have had limited formal search training.
How learning & understanding will be monitored and assessed during course delivery:
- Extensive trainer support will be provided to enhance learning application
- Practical (industry relevant) examples, discussion groups, presentations and a case study is used to improve understanding and practical knowledge.
Encouraging learning application:
- Delegate briefing pre course with line manager using course overview and personal development plan (PDP) as a template
- Final exercise on the programme will determine if objectives have been met and will identify intended workplace actions
- Completion of Personal Development Plan (PDP) and personal action plan with line manager post course
