Key areas of responsibility:

• Promoting the interests of REC members to politicians and officials in the UK and across Europe.
• Spokesperson for the REC and liaising with press.
• Formulating REC policy in key areas including employment, healthcare and procurement.
• Managing the Employment Policy Committee and member involvement through working groups and regional forums.
• Working with REC sector groups and regional directors on lobbying and press campaigns
• Representing the REC on the board of Eurociett, the representative body for the recruitment industry across Europe and on various Government committees.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Executive Assistant duties to Director of External Relations
• Administration of Corporate Affairs & Policy Committees
• Assisting with lobbying activities including the organisation of meetings and briefings with devolved Parliaments and various Government bodies
• Account manage 12 volunteer REC Regional Directors who represent the REC on a regional level;
• Oversee a DWP initiative to help newly unemployed professionals get back into work;
• Administration of numerous ad hoc projects undertaken by the External
  Relations team

• Managing outsourced PR agency responsible for national and sector press in tandem with responsibility for output to trade
  and regional titles
• Developing press material for media and REC website
• Providing PR support for all REC departments on key campaigns
  and initiatives
• Assisting and advising REC members on PR activities
