Recruitment is a £26.673 billion industry responsible for the 1,377,740 temporary workers out on assignment in any given week and for placing over 787,000 employees in permanent work each year.

The REC's membership is made up of over 8,000 recruitment agencies and businesses (corporate members) and 6,000 recruitment professionals (individual members).
