Join the Sector Group
The AER is an Specialist Sector Group of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC). In order to join the AER, you must be an approved corporate member of the REC.

What are the Criteria for Membership?
To qualify for membership, search & selection consultancies must satisfy the following criteria:
- Be full Corporate Members of the REC
- Have a director, principal or senior manager who has a minimum of two years relevant search and selection experience.
- A minimum of 50% of business must be in search & selction on a retained basis.
Application Process
- Applicants must complete and return the AER Application Form, along with payment for the relevant subscription to the AER, 15 Welbeck Street, London, W1G 9XT
- Once your completed application form has been received, references are sought and company details are circulated to members of the AER Executive Committee for consideration.
- Applicants for membership shall become members only after election by the Executive Committee.
- Once the Executive is satisfied that your organisation meets its criteria, you will be invited to join the AER as a full member and will be eligible to use the AER logo, and your details will be added to the AER Membership Directory on the REC website.
- If further information is sought prior to acceptance to the AER, a member of the Executive Committee will be designated to contact your organisation to seek clarification.
- All applications are considered on an individual basis prior to approval or rejection from the Association.
Subscription Information
There is an additional subscription to join an REC Sector Group to cover bespoke legal advice, external relations activity and the administration of meetings. If a company is a member of more than one Sector Group the company will only pay one fee. The subscription is per company and based on turnover:
