News

The Unit has published the eagerly awaited full Annual Salary & Benefits Survey 2007, in association with Saffery Champness and Recruiter magazine. The report provides a wealth of information about salaries, bonus/commission payments, benefits packages, satisfaction levels and staff turnover. This year the survey focused on the following sectors: Education, Hospitality, Construction, Technical and Driving.

The latest quarter 2 tracking results are now available. The findings are used widely by government and leading recruitment firms to understand industry trends and benchmark performance. The latest findings reveal a complex picture, with challenges and opportunities varying by sector, region and business size. Remember, you save money if you buy 3 reports in advance.

The Unit has just commissioned new research with the Adecco Research Institute from Manchester University looking at the business case for agencies to provide additional support for lone parents into work.

We’re completing the first in a new series of ‘Regional Profiles’ for recruiters. These will contain useful economic, labour market and recruitment data from government and REC sources and will be specifically designed for recruiters. The first profile, on Northern Ireland, will be launched later this month.

There are still opportunities for agencies to benchmark their website using RIO ‘Recruitment Industry Online’ - a joint initiative between the Unit and Enhance Media to better understand the dynamics and profile of web site users. Click here for more details:
